SEYCHELLES TRAVEL GUIDE

Seychelles Luxury

Private beaches, exceptional resorts, remote islands and tailor-made ways to experience Seychelles.

Luxury in Seychelles is not simply about a five-star label. It can mean privacy, space, exceptional service, a remarkable natural setting, a private villa, a secluded island, a beautifully planned boat trip or a seamless journey between islands.

Luxury Seychelles Cost Guide

Luxury travel in Seychelles has a very wide price range. As a planning guide for two adults, allow roughly US$900–1,800+ per day before international flights. Exceptional private-island stays, villas, private yachts and fully bespoke trips can go considerably higher. These are planning ranges rather than fixed prices; dates, availability, taxes, exchange rates and the level of private service can change the final cost.

Luxury Accommodation

Many luxury resorts and high-end villas can fall around US$700–1,500+ per night. Exceptional private-island resorts and top villas can be considerably higher.

Fine Dining

Allow roughly US$200+ per person per day for a luxury dining style once fine dining, wine, resort restaurants and private dining are included.

Private Experiences

Boat charters, diving, fishing, guided experiences and specialist excursions can add US$50–200+ per person per day, with private luxury experiences potentially much higher.

Private cars, helicopters, yachts and bespoke transfers should be budgeted separately because the cost depends heavily on route, vehicle, aircraft, boat and number of passengers.

Indicative Luxury Trip Budgets for Two

  • 5 days: US$4,500–9,000+
  • 7 days: US$6,300–12,600+
  • 10 days: US$9,000–18,000+
  • 14 days: US$12,600–25,200+

These totals cover accommodation, food, local and inter-island transport and a modest allowance for luxury experiences, but exclude international flights. A private-island or fully bespoke itinerary can exceed these ranges.

Luxury Beyond the Hotel

Private Dining

High-end stays may offer private or bespoke dining, from secluded beach settings to villa dining. Availability varies by property and should be arranged in advance.

Exclusive Experiences

Luxury can also mean private fishing, diving, island excursions, spa experiences or simply having more time and space to enjoy the setting.

Seamless Transfers

For a luxury itinerary, transport should be planned alongside accommodation. Private cars, boats and helicopters can reduce friction between destinations.

Luxury by Island

Mahé offers the widest choice of luxury hotels, private villas, fine dining and premium transport. Praslin combines high-end resorts with access to beaches and nature. La Digue is quieter and more intimate, with boutique-style stays and a slower island rhythm. The Outer Islands add a different form of luxury: remoteness, privacy and extraordinary natural surroundings.

For specialist remote stays, compare North Island, Silhouette and Desroches.

Luxury by Trip Length

A luxury holiday should leave room to enjoy the property rather than rushing between islands. A week can provide a strong single- or two-island escape, while 10–14 days allows more time for multi-island travel, private experiences and slower resort stays.

Compare the 7-day, 10-day and 14-day itineraries.

What We Mean by Luxury

Our luxury recommendations look beyond price. We consider setting, privacy, service, design, access to nature and the overall quality of the experience. Commercial relationships do not automatically determine editorial inclusion, rankings or recommendations.

How to Book Luxury in Seychelles

For accommodation and experiences, compare the property or provider, the location, what is included, cancellation conditions and the transfer arrangements before you commit. Our Seychelles Partners directory is designed for travellers who want to explore relevant travel professionals and tourism businesses, while our independent guides remain the place to research the decision first.

For Luxury Hotels, Resorts & Tourism Businesses

Plan a Luxury Seychelles Escape

Start with the experience rather than the price tag. Decide whether you want a polished resort, a private island, a villa, a yacht-led itinerary or a combination of stays. Then build the transport, dining and activities around that choice. Remote-island travel requires more advance planning, and availability can change with weather and operator schedules.
