How Many Days Do You Need in Seychelles?

Seven days is a strong first Seychelles holiday, while ten to fourteen days gives you more time for island hopping, outdoor experiences and a slower pace.

There is no single perfect length for a Seychelles holiday. The ideal number of days depends on whether you want a short beach escape, island hopping, outdoor pursuits, wildlife and culture, or an unhurried luxury retreat. The key is allowing enough time to enjoy each island rather than spending the holiday in transit.

5 Days in Seychelles

Five days is enough to experience Mahé properly and, travel time permitting, add a second island. Praslin is a natural choice for beaches and nature, while La Digue can be added with careful planning.

7 Days in Seychelles

Seven days makes for a strong first Seychelles holiday — long enough for a balanced mix of islands, beaches, nature, activities and unhurried days.

10 Days in Seychelles

Ten days allows Mahé, Praslin and La Digue to be combined at a comfortable pace, with room for specialist activities or slower resort time.

14 Days in Seychelles

Two weeks gives you the luxury of slowing down. Combine the main islands with remote or specialist experiences and allow flexibility for weather, diving, fishing, hiking, sailing and wildlife.

Do You Need to Change Islands?

Not at all — island-hopping is never compulsory. A single-island holiday can be wonderful when relaxation is the goal or when you want to minimise transfers. Longer holidays make island hopping more rewarding because travel takes up a smaller share of the trip.
